Special section just for kids activities!
"Kid's Corner" is especially for kids. The Cedar Rapids Public Library has a lot of activities, along with many other organizations.
On the "Movies" page you will find lists of local theatres that will link to their sites so you can see what is playing at what time.
On the "Places To See" page I have included historical sites, museums, art galleries and other places of interest.
Under "Performances" there is live theatre, concerts, plays, symphony and opera.
"Events-Sports" has links to the Cedar Rapids Roughriders Hockey team and The Kernels Baseball team, college sports events, sports recreation centers including golf, bowling, swimming, tennis, hiking trails and more! Also there are exhibits, interactive events, dance clubs, competitions and festivals.
The "Restaurants" page is broken down into categories for all local restaurants in Cedar Rapids: Fine Dining, "American" (BBQ, breakfast, buffets, family, seafood, steakhouses), "Ethnic" (Chinese, Czech, India, Italian, Japanese, Greek, Mediterranean, Mexican, Mongolian, Thai and Vietnamese), "Pizza", and "Coffee-Sandwiches" (bagels, coffee houses, subs, deli's and sandwiches).
"Live Music" has the where and when for live music including: rock, pop, jazz, blues, indie, funk, country, folk, instrumentals, acoustical, special events, chorus, chorals, bands and school concerts that are playing. I have also included a page for any "Local Musicians" in the eastern Iowa area with links to their sites.
The page for "Bars" (or saloons) has three sub-categories: "Bars with Music" (DJ's, karaoke and live music), "Sports Bars" and "Bars and Grills".
